Kannada cinema is gearing up for the upcoming village-based drama ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu’, which brings together Manoranjan Ravichandran and Pruthvi Ambaar for the first time. Directed by debutant Sunil Rudraprabha, the film features Manoranjan as the protagonist and Pruthvi in an antagonist role, marking an interesting on-screen pairing. Malayalam actor Aparna Das will also make her Kannada debut with the film.
The makers announced Aparna Das’ inclusion in ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu’ on the occasion of her birthday. The actor, who has previously appeared in Tamil films such as Vijay’s ‘Beast’ and Kavin’s ‘Dada’, will be making her first appearance in a Kannada film with this project. Her entry adds another interesting dimension to the cast of the upcoming film, which is set against a rural backdrop.
Interestingly, Manoranjan Ravichandran will play the protagonist in the film, while Pruthvi Ambaar, who has been exploring varied roles, will take on the antagonist. The project marks the first time the two actors will share the screen, making their contrasting roles one of the aspects to watch out for when the film arrives in theatres.
According to Cinema Express, the film was shot over 55 days across multiple locations in Karnataka. The team travelled to Bengaluru, Mandya, Mysuru, Melukote, Doddaballapur, Gadag, Belagavi, Hubballi and Dharwad for the shoot. With filming now complete, the makers are expected to announce further details about the project, including its release plans. ‘Sarve Jana Sukhino Bhavantu’ is the fourth production from SV Entertainment, which has previously backed films including ‘Attempt to Murder’ and ‘Ranganayaki’.
The technical crew includes composer Poornachandra Tejaswi, cinematographer Karthik S and editor KM Prakash. The supporting cast features Rangayana Raghu, Sidlingu Sridhar, Deekshit Gowda, Manamohan Rai and Dashavar Chandru.
Meanwhile, Manoranjan Ravichandran is also working on ‘I Am God: The Crazy’, which is being directed by his father, V Ravichandran. The actor was in Sakleshpur in July for the film’s shoot. Pruthvi Ambaar, meanwhile, will next be seen in the upcoming relationship drama ‘America America 2’, which is scheduled to release on September 11.
