Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman honoured the remarkable legacy of legendary singer Asha Bhosle on her 93rd birthday with ‘Asha Forever’, a special tribute song celebrating her life and extraordinary contribution to music.According to IANS, the song was unveiled in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ashish Shelar and Asha Bhosle’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle.

Speaking at the launch of the tribute song, AR Rahman expressed his gratitude to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for inviting them to the special occasion and helping honour Asha Bhosle’s enduring legacy.“I am deeply grateful to the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji, for graciously inviting us and giving us his valuable time on this special occasion as we honour the legendary Asha Ji with this song,” Rahman said.He further described Asha Bhosle as a source of immense pride for Maharashtra and the country, while highlighting her role in taking Indian music to audiences across the world.“Asha Bhosle was Maharashtra’s and our national pride, she was our greatest strength in taking our music global. The tribute also features students and musicians from London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.The song was filmed across London and Mumbai, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
